Dear, Whoever Finds This

We were ready for the journey, had all the proper provisions
The maps and stars were all laid out in our hands
Set sail from that old harbor without looking back

One night after several, a Voice asked us to step out of the boat
For some reason we all felt deep inside it was safe and secure
And you know we walked on water, but a storm rose up in an angry swell,
and we couldn't subside our fear though the Voice said "Fear not!"
Our feet began to buckle, and we couldn't hold onto the wrathful waves
The savage storm drove us into the severe sea on a quick current away from our saving ship

Washed up on this distant shore on a blood red sky morning
Now we can't get these whispering lies from boring their way into our skulls
This place is dark no matter what time of day
Only one pinhole-sized light at the top of a monumental mountain
We've decided to scale the gigantic lion of a peak no matter what comes against
It's the answer out of here, it has to be
Something must be shining in the light there...
on the edge of nowhere
